ABORTION HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BROAD YET OPINIONATED TOPIC AMONG SOCIETY

Abortion has always been a broad yet opinionated topic among society. Abortion lies on the basis of human rights, privacy and religion and is becoming a political issue. Many might suggest that political issues should be issues that affect our citizens and abortion does just that. On the other hand some believe that abortion is a personal issue that should be considered from that person alone.

Abortion was legalized in the case Roe v. Wade that declared a pregnant woman is entitled to have an abortion until the end of the first trimester of pregnancy without any interference. In my opinion, I believe that abortion should be a political issue when the government and the people are involved. “Abortion was legalized through lawmakers, Cases that go before the supreme court of the United States can change laws”(1).
