PREVENTING RACISM

The definition of racism is a belief that a race is “superior” over all other races. Since the dawn of time, racism has been present amongst man. When a group believes that they possess diverse traits others do not, they believe that makes them “superior”. The history of man is riddled with examples of races being persecuted because they were “substandard”. Racism must stop in order for society to move forward. Everyone must be treated equally and fairly, but how we accomplish this? The first step to stopping racism is to abolish stereotypes. When one sees another, he/she should be treated as an individual, not matter what their ethnicity is. There should be no negative connotation associated with someone’s race.
