In the health care environment today, physician does not have the luxury of practicing medicine alone. Physicians have to deal with the legal system, medical malpractice, doctor’s liability, medical records, public duties of the physician, ethical, and bioethical issues. These concerns have driven the health care cost to an all-time high, and in some cases, doctors are changing careers (Obama cares, 2020).

In this essay the author will discuss some of the critical regulatory issues in health care, including cost, availability, access, and quality of care. The author will discuss some of the issues concerning the prevalence of the affordable health care act, and discuss some of the pros and cons critical issues in deploying affordable health care for Americans while bringing down the cost at emergency rooms for undocumented and illegal aliens.
