DISCRIMINATION, KU KLUX KLAN, GENDER

The act of discrimination is as old as mankind. Over the years many people have struggled to overcome whatever discrimination they face or feel is unequivocally unjust. Unfortunately, discrimination still continues today. Although, here in America, we seem to have taken leaps and bounds away from the bigoted society we once lived in, discrimination remains. Organizations like the Ku Klux Klan, abolitionists, and the Women Suffragettes are no longer around because we’ve made incredible progress as far as advocating white supremacy, suppressing a non-white person’s right to vote, and women’s rights. Some may say that discrimination doesn’t exist anymore however, others would say that it still occurs but in a more subtle manner.
