The African-American group is the ethnic group that I belong to. During the years of 1450- 1750, Africans immigrated against their will by the Europeans for the slave trade in North America. Africans and their descendents endured harsh treatment, such as slavery, extreme physical and mental abuse, human exploitation, etc. When the Civil War began in 1861, African-Americans join the Union army to help fight for the civil rights for all men as stated in the Constitution. Even after all their contributions and when the war ended, African-Americans still faced prejudice and racism by not having the right to vote, prohibited from being educated, commute freely, forbidden to testify against an European-
